Michelle Wie Getting Ready for the Samsung World Championship

Michelle Wie is getting prepared to play in the Samsung World Championship at the same time as she tries to adjust to college life at Stanford. She has been seen playing on the campus course so we know she’s been working on her game.

This is really the first tournament that we think Michelle Wie will be in full force since she had early year injuries. She’s taken some time to fully recover we hope and we will be looking forward to seeing her in action.

Play starts next Thursday, the 11th and will continue through Sunday.

If Michelle Wie wants an opportunity to clean up her tarnished image she should drop out of the Samsing World Championship. I believe the spot would ten go to Natilie Gulbis who deserves to play in this event.

agree with Hal….She is not classy enought like Anika to back out…Natalie deserves the spot…but the Wie’s are money hungry and cocky!

I agree with all three of you. I think the gesture of not playing would go a long way with some of those players on tour who have had some not so great things to say about her.

She needs to regain face, not only for her game, but for how she is perceived.

It doesn’t look like this is going to be the case but we’ll see over the next few days.

I went to my first two LPGA events this year to see the new stars of the tour, Paula, Natalie, Morgan, etc. I was so disappointed in the tour that a travesty like this could occur. I am fed up with the spoiled, mediocre golfer Wie getting all these exemptions. She is no Tiger Woods and never will be!
