Last week we reported on the buzz around the LPGA and PGA tours that Michelle Wie was going to stop playing against the men for a little while and focus on playing and beating the women. We thought it was a great idea, an idea that came from her coach David Leadbetter.
However, the agency that speaks on behalf of the family and Wie herself has said, “It’s fair to say no options have been ruled out.”
We here at Wie Blogging were very happy that she was deciding to focus her efforts on the LPGA and build her game to dominate the women’s tour and then focus on the men’s tour. It just seems like the right thing to do to help her put all the buzz and hoopla that always surrounds her golf game to the side.
We’ll just have to wait and see if she decides she needs to accept those exemptions and keep playing against the men.
