Michelle Wie Dropping In World Golf Rankings

Michelle Wie, who has mentioned she wants to play on the US Men’s Ryder Cup team, which means top 25 rankings on the PGA tour, is slipping in the Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Without playing tournaments this is obviously what’s going to happen, but it’s always a bummer to see. The rankings currently put Michelle Wie’s golf game at 18th in the world, still respectable since she has hardly played at all over the ranking time period.

Michelle sits on the top 20 having only golfed in 13 events while the rest of the women have golf in 40 or more.

The top 3 remain, Annika Sorenstam, Lorena Ochoa, and Karrie Webb.

Play on Ryder Cup team? Wie has yet to win against women and yet she expects to join a select group of the best players in the world? Perhaps the four years at Stanford will wake this poor, delusioned young girl.

Again the press has made more a person’s talent that reality. Michelle Wie has yet to accomplis anything other than 300 yard drives. Please lets move on to some real talent on the LPGA tour and enough of this child.

Spadecat expressed the sentiments of my golfing circle perfectly. Wie has lost all credibility as a serious golfer, and gained a reputation as a prima donna! She is overrated, and until she actually plays some serious golf, we all would wish she would just go away. Every exemption she gets, every time she drops out of a tournament, she has taken the spot of a young girl who is really serious about golf, and not just in it for fame and the millions she gets every year for doing….what, I’m not sure!
