Michelle Wie Misses the cut again in a Men’s Tournament

Michelle Wie didn’t make huge strides having a new Caddie by her side. She didn’t look like she was making all the right decisions, and didn’t seem like she was going to charge her way through the field and make the cut on what was a long and tough European Masters course this past weekend in Switzerland.

In a tournament where she had some words of confidence from Sergio Garcia, Michelle Wie had to think that she had an outside chance to make the cut in a very, very tough European Masters.

Well Michelle Wie didn’t make the cut, she finished dead last in the tournament. She finished the two rounds with a 15 over 157, in very last place behind 151 men. The leaderboard of the European Masters was 22 shots away when she finished out the second round, a far cry from being able to keep up with the men.

In a strange comment, yes strange Michelle Wie said of her play in this tournament as she looks forward to her next tournamnet.

“Now that I played a tournament this week, I feel I know what sport I’m
playing,” she said. “I’m really motivated for next week.”

Not really sure what that means but I’m glad she realizes she has to play golf against these men out there Also about women’s and men’s events Michelle Wie stated,

“If I just play women’s events, I only get better at women’s events. I feel I have a good balance now.”

I have a feeling there will be some women who have a thing or two to say about that comment once she returns to the LPGA.
